About Dr. Javeed
Dr. Hira Javeed graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montclair State University and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has extensive experience in primary eye care and diagnosing and managing ocular medical conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Javeed is passionate about providing exceptional care for patients of all ages, with a special focus on pediatric eye care. She enjoys working with children six and older and offers comprehensive pediatric eye exams tailored to their unique needs. She is also skilled in myopia management, utilizing the latest techniques to help control the progression of nearsightedness in children.
An expert in fitting specialty contact lenses, Dr. Javeed has extensive experience with scleral lenses, which sit on the sclera rather than the cornea. These lenses are often the best solution for patients with complex conditions such as keratoconus, irregular astigmatism, corneal dystrophies, post-corneal transplant, or trauma. She also fits gas permeable lenses and lenses for astigmatism, bifocal needs, and patients with dry eye.
